Three Frameworks for Personal Research

Sometimes curiosity works by accumulation. A screenshot saved here. A sentence highlighted there. A note in your phone. A conversation you can’t stop thinking about. A documentary recommendation. A library book. A random article at two in the morning.

Personal research is not the same thing as declaring yourself an expert overnight. It is not refusing evidence. It is not avoiding critique. It is not building conspiracy spirals from coincidence and vibes.

Good curiosity still requires humility. Sometimes your assumptions will be wrong. Sometimes your original question changes entirely. Sometimes the deeper you research something, the more complicated it becomes.

Maybe the beginning of research is not expertise. Maybe it’s attention.
