It’s hard to critique a text that doesn’t open itself up and invite you to participate in its dance of ideas. When the text is as dry as the Sahara desert, but factually correct and stylistically mundane, it’s difficult to connect with the humanity of the author.

Great precision and specificity, great dramatic impact, great sound, great ways in which they direct the reader’s thinking, great ways in which they reveal the writer’s mind at work, great logical progression, great imagery — and the list goes on and on.
