Do Something Until It Comes Easily

A plateau functions like a screen door. It keeps out those who aren’t serious or dedicated enough. This is what separates professionals from hobbyists.

One of the writers who have influenced my writing strategy is William Zinsser. His book, On Writing Well, contains useful insights on becoming a better thinker and writer.

A good rule of thumb if you’re having a hard time doing something: Keep doing it until it becomes easy. It’s like going to the gym and being sore and stiff the next day.

Every time you practice something, it gets easier as you improve. The important thing is consistency.
